Hello D, I just checked your blog and the calendar widget seems to work just fine. The widget loads after the rest of the page which helps cut down on page loading time which may be why you couldn't see it at first. Hope this helps solve the problem for you!
I'm trying to use your amazing layout here on one of my many blogs, because it's the only one I've found that would perfectly match it. Problem is, I've been testing it out on my Test Ground blog, and I can't get the calendar widget to work I changed the date format and everything, yet, still no calendar shows up.
