Tritton ax pc pro usb 5.1 surround sound gaming headset

Overall Review: Well built, not cheap at all. Great weight, I haven't had any problems with head aches or anything even when wearing them for hours at a time. Pros: Sound quality is good for the price. True 5. Comfortable even when worn for a long time. Cons: The inline volume control is this unit's weak point. My headset developed a short in the inline volume controller after 2 months of occasional use.

Never dropped, not even scuffed. Overall Review: Despite what others have said. Tritton phone support has treated me very well the 2 times I've called.

Support reps are US based. My broken set is being replaced at shipping cost only. They are replacing it with the NEW model which will be available for purchase on the 15th of February. So if you can wait to buy a headset and your considering this WAIT until February 15th, when the new model is out before you make a decision. Pros: I prefer USB headsets for the ease of use. I being able to switch back and forth from my desktop speakers without plugging or unplugging anything in.

These are much more comfortable and have the best sound quality by far. I game for hours a day so this is very important to me. The cheap plastics on that set that broke on my friends big head. The build quality of these is much more sturdy. Cons: Not crazy about the volume control.

When will these companies realize people don't want to have to reach into their laps to use the controller Move it lower on the cord already! You will not regret it. Pros: I can't begin to tell you how nice this headset really is. I've gone through at least 40pairs of headsets in the last year, trying to find the one that really makes me go, "Wow". These things simply perform above the bar.

Overall Review: If you're like me, and you're finnicky about how things sound, then you owe it to yourself to get this headset. Just for reference, my hearing is perfect, it doesn't dip at high or low levels. So when I say I'm finnicky, I mean it. The headset is comfortable, and built solid. The craftsmanship is obviously well done. The sound these things put out Just fill out this simple form and we'll see what we can do for you.

You simply can't make the front, rear, top or bottom edge of a single speaker create sound to give the illusion of direction.

This can only be "truly" reproduced by individual speakers. THAT is what seperates these headphones from inferior two speaker headsets. Some may think the price is a little steep, but compared to a "decent" 5. These are some serious toys! Worth every penny!!! Cons: I didn't mention it in my other review, but there's a small issue with the headphones staying powered on after turning the mixer off. There is no power switch for the headphones. Just another "minor" issue. I have to go to the mixer to turn it off, and I since the power jack to the heaphones is right there, I simply unplug it.

No biggie. Certainly not enough to cost it a 5-star rating. Overall Review: In my other review I stated: "Unless you're in a room surrounded by speakers, you're not going to hear that guy creeping up behind you from the left rear. Or jets flying over your head. Or gunshots from the right rear.

They create a 5. Once you have the volume settings tweaked, you'll know exactly where the sounds are coming from. Pros: Great sound! The highs are great and the bass is low and smooth. For me they sound fantastic.

I really was concerned when I read some contrary reviews, however they were far from disappointing when I tried them out. Actually, I was very impressed.

The AXPro is durable if you handle it properly and comfortable. I like the styling and the sturdiness of it. It distributes the weight around your ear very well and is well balanced.

The audio controller is backlit! That means you can game in the dark and manage your volumes. I thought it was a nice touch. Mic is removable. While some people have issues with it, I haven't had a problem. I take the mic on and off several time a day depending on what I'm doing.

I'm pretty careful with it, like I am with all my electronics. Cons: Well, nothing is perfect Two power bricks! I would have like to see them make it use just one power brick and connect through the Dolby Digital converter box. Also a power switch for the headset would have been nice. I just unplug the power adapter from the headset but an integrated switch would have been better, imho. Easier to change out the pads.

The earphone pads and the headband cushion are changeable. The ear pads are not that hard to change but the headband pad was difficult and I almost ruined the pad. There's not real instructions on how to change it Those plastic tabs only open one way and it takes quite a bit of force to remove the pads. No additional colors for the lit logo on the cans. The TT logo is in orange and the plates come off the cans but there isn't any to change them out with Even if I could change the color, I'd be happy.

Not a real con but definitely something I'd like to see changed. Overall Review: I knew about the cons beforehand, so no big deal. While the AXPro's have a few design issues, overall sound and comfort were the two biggest things in my criteria for gaming headset for my PS3. I'm glad I bought these and really think that many issues people have with sound are just audio n00bs.

Also, customer service from Tritton USA is awesome. I called when I couldn't figure out how to switch out the headpad and the person on the phone explained to me patiently, and in detail how to do it.

I was impressed. When I expressed concern about breaking it, she told me that they'd send me out a new one for free it it came to that. Start with the factory settings and slowly tweak the from there I have my surround delay up 4 clicks and I'm. Pros: The sound is great. Also there customer service is amazing. Cons: two plugs. But the good news is tech support told me that in a month or so they will have a Y adapter to make it one plug.

Pros: I picked out this headset after much research and playing around with cheaper virtual surround sound sets with poor results. The 5. It is very easy to pick up on directional sound, since the speakers are right around your head.
