Micasaverde vera 2 setup

Vera's power light will begin blinking steadily once per second - meaning Vera is in 'Add' mode. Wait up to 30 seconds for Vera's power light to start blinking like this, and if it does not, repeat Step 3 until it does. On the Schlage lock's keypad, enter its 6-digit programming code. The light will blink orange. Note: You can find the lock's program code on the back of the lock or in its manual. Wait the lock to flash 3 times and to tone 3 times, then press the [Schlage] button, and then '0'.

If Vera's power light flutters briefly, and the lock's [Schlage] button blinks green twice, pairing was successful. Otherwise, you must follow the steps below for 'Resetting a Schlage Lock' and then repeat Steps to try pairing the lock again. Reconnect Vera back where it belongs or connect to Vera wirelessly and access Vera through your web browser. On Vera's 'Devices' page, assign the lock to a room and give it a name, and set any other options, then click 'Save'.

This method works best if your Vera unit is already positioned close enough to communicate with the Schlage door lock. Note: You can also log in using FindVera. You must complete Steps within 30 seconds. The [Schlage] button should light up green, indicating that pairing with Vera was successful.

Repeat Steps , but choose " Exclude " in Step 5, to reset the lock. Then try to pair the lock again. NOTE: If the lock fails to pair with Vera despite repeated attemps with either method shown here, you may need to reset the lock to its factory default state before trying again see 'Resetting a Schlage Lock to Factory Default', below.

Once pairing has succeeded, Vera will begin configuring the lock you just added. During the configuration process, Vera will display a spinning blue cog icon next to the lock on Vera's 'Devices' page see Device Control Status for more details. It can take as long as 10 minutes for Vera to configure the lock completely, because a lot of encrypted data is being exchanged in the process. Be patient, and don't use Vera for other tasks until the green cog icon appears. Whenever you rename the lock, change its room, or otherwise change its configuration settings other than assigning PIN codes , Vera will need to re-configure the lock again.

Vera's power light comes on and starts double flashing - meaning Vera is operational but has no internet connection. Press-and-hold the red button on the back of Vera, then tap the black button once. Vera's power light will begin blinking fast, about 3 times per second - meaning Vera is in 'Remove' mode.

When playing a movie if I pause then ideally the lights would come up and go back down on resume. I've had a look at enabling custom entries in the Kodiremote plugin when certain Window IDs are launched. So I can send a custom entry for that to Vera, but I am unable to trigger anything when the Kodi state changes to the custom event.

This is where I thought a virtual switch would come in useful. On for when "Menu Video" is activated and off for when "Custom Entry 1" is activated. Sure we can get there, my gut feel is a tweak to Vera plugin to allow Kodiremote custom event triggers?? Ok I see what you mean and sounds like a good idea!

So when you enter the EPG area, have this turn off the virtual switch and therefore the lights then won't auto dim and brighten. Presumably you then need other "Menu" triggers to turn the switch back on, say when entering movies or tv shows areas. I never used the custom events, does it work? Then you'd need to be able to select this custom event as a trigger in your scene to turn off the virtual switch, which I take it you can't do currently?

In which case the developer will need to look in to adding custom event triggers as you say! Note: Don't forget to click the 'Save' button to save your changes. If you close your web browser without clicking 'Save', your changes will be lost. Also, once you complete the setup page, then you won't see the setup page when you access Vera. Instead, you will see the Dashboard. If you want to change your setup later, just click the 'Setup' button on the dashboard to get back to this setup page, jump directly to the setup step you want to change, make your changes, and click 'Save'.

Or at the very least, why not build in a rechargeable battery so you don't have to attach a separate battery pack when you carry the box around? I am now noticing some of the benefits of the new Mios Box Vera2. Now, I AM able to find a work around in a pinch, but my point is that it is probably better for the general public to have a box that just plugs in to their existing network.

Just something that I am noticing now. I love the Aeon dongle too, but any dongle left hanging out of a USB port always seems like an accident waiting to happen in my experience. I haven't sheered of a dongle yet, but I have come close a couple times, lol.

I know the battery pack threw me at first, but considering the Z-Wave lock inclusion requiring the dongle be in Vera and both to be near the lock, I can see their motivation. Having an internal battery might be nice, esp. Heck, I'm considering making a battery pack for my Vera except fot the fact that my house is too small and I have no need right now. I understand your points and have felt that way at one time, but I think if Vera and Vera2's release were reversed that people would now be objecting to getting an Asus router with Vera badges on it.

I would If MCV is more profitable with the new box then that is good too, I don't want them going anywhere. Vera3 1. I've got the new Vera2 box and have no problems carrying around the device with a battery pack attached. I have had very little issues with this new box, and I agree with what I think Shady was saying about avoiding the use of Vera as your primary connection to the internet. I'll bet this change in form factor turns out for the better. Why bother with a dongle when you can have an all-in-one device?
